PhoneTracker is a beautifully designed appthatcan be used to track the location of a mobile phone remotelyviaSMS. This feature can be used to track a person's whereabouts.Forexample, by using this app, spouses can keep track oftheirsignificant other, parents can keep track of their childrenand soon. This can also be used to turn a phone into a car trackerbystrapping the phone onto a car. Another use would be for theuserto allow his friends to find him via SMS. In case the mobilephonebeing lost too, this would be useful to locate the phone.Since,the app uses SMS instead of data network for transmittinglocationinformation, this information is therefore passed directlyto thepeer user and not via any of our server.The app is very easy to use. The phone whose location isbeingtracked needs to have the app set in "Response" mode. Thephone isnow ready to respond to location requests that it receivesvia SMS.The next step is to set up a list of authorized users. Theapp willonly process location requests received from one of theseusers.Once that is done, location requests can be sent in one ofthe twoways - via the PhoneTracker app installed on another phoneor via amanually created SMS request. When the app receives avalidlocation request, it will respond back with a SMScontainingcurrent location info.This app will receive and send SMS messages.
